    The Lawrance was a 15 horsepower, 2 cylinder, air cooled engine that runs on ark raft grade 100 octane, and uses 24v battery to start. Once started it produced 5 k.w. Of electricity at sea level and 3 k.w. At 20,000’ altitude. It would power the aircraft electrical systems to start main engines or produce back up electrical power.
    Some conflicting information, but the Consolidated PB2Y and later models of the PBY used this unit, and possibly layer in the war the PB4Y.
    Manual in excellent original condition, almost certainly new old stock. Printed o;heavy glossy paper, there are numerous charts and specs and diagram and fold outs. Manual is well written and easy to read.
    Part of the extensive ‘Ol Jon Aldrich aircraft memorabilia collection, this manual was carefully stored in a filing cabinet the last 50 years.
