Army Air Forces issued Final Report of Development, Procurement, Performance and Acceptance of the Curtiss XP-55 Ascender Experimental Fighter Airplanes,
AF Technical Report 5306, 34 pages including cardstock covers SCANNED ON CD FROM MY ORIGINAL REPORT, NOT FROM A REPRINT OR BOOTLEGGED FROM SOMEONE ELSE
! Please view the attached SCANS for a sample of the content and SCAN quality! ALSO INCLUDED: a high quality scan of a original 8X10 of the XP-55 in flight!! You get the report and photo in one PDF file on CD!! This report was produced by the AAF specifically for the XP-55 airplane, which was a radical experimental pusher fighter powered by a Allison V-1710-95 liquid cooled engine!! Only THREE were built; one was destroyed on a vertical dive in 1943 and pilot bailed out; one crashed at a airshow at Wright Field on May 27,1945 and pilot was killed. The last prototype is in on display at the AIR ZOO on loan from the Smithsonian! This is VERY RARE information that you will never see ANYWHERE!!
