Up for sale is a wonderful antique medical quackery related framed advertisement print from the early to mid 1800's. This advertisement reads in its entirety;

He would say to the ladies and gentlemen of this village and vicinity, that he has rooms at ""G Whitcomb"", where he will attend upon all who may wish to avail themselves of his advice and treatment of disease.
Dr. B has been engaged in the constant practice of medicine for the last fifteen years, but has given his attention for the last three years mostly to chronic cases, as stated above.
The Dr. Leave medecines with full directions for about two months, and calculates to visit all his patients about so often.
No charge for his visits.
Examines all patients free within a mile of his room.
Dr. B sells supporters, inhaling tubes, trusses, shoulder braces, syringes, medecines, liminents, &c.
The Dr. also gives free lectures on physiology and pathology of disease illustrated with ten splendid paintings, when requested by the inhabitants or schools."

This is a most interested and excellent antique related to medical history and practive in the united states during the 19th century where very little was regulated. I don't know about you but I think I would avoid "Dr. Badger" for any related medical needs that I would have. This is displayed in a thin antique black wood that measures 8.75 x 19.25 inches while the hand printed advertisement poster measures 5 x 13 inches. The condition of the poster is excellent with very little damage other than minor creases in the center right and minimal yellowing which is expected for such an ages paper item. The frame shows wear and the underside of the glass would benefit from a cleaning.
The images provided accurately represent the quality, condition and aesthetic beauty this framed antique has but if you have any questions please feel free to ask prior to purchasing!
