    Description

1-Owner, my Father, who served and saw action overseas. I found this in my Fathers WW2 Footlocker after he passed.
There may be a note or two written by my father in the pages, correcting an error in identifying particular battles, rivers, mountain passes, situations, etc...
Scarce WWII Unit History: The Winter Line. The unit history is titled: Fifth Army at the Winter Line (15 November 1943 15 January 1944) and was published by the Military Intelligence Division US War Department as part of the American Forces in Action book series. The cover reads: "FOR MILITARY PERSONNEL ONLY" along the bottom of the front and is printed in a paperbacked, staple bound fashion with black and white photographs and maps. A total of 117 pages featuring a full page of insignia and another of the organization of the Fifth Army during that period. The foreword is dated 1945 and was written by G. C. Marshall, Chief of Staff.
