Description
This is a rare, original WWII 101st Airborne Division book entitled "The Epic of the 101st Airborne: A Pictorial Record of a Great Fighting Team." It is a first edition publication, printed in Auxerre, France in 1945. This book contains several pages of text and mainly pictures chronicling the experiences of the famous 101st Airborne Division during World War II. It covers from the activation of the division to deployment overseas to England to combat in Normandy, Holland, Belgium, and Germany. When I purchased this book several years ago, I was told that it belonged to a 506th PIR, Company D veteran, whose name I will provide to the buyer. Overall, this book is in good condition for its age. The back cover has a tear at the top that has been taped. Please see pictures to judge the condition of this book. This book is a must for any World War II library. Please contact me with any questions. Thanks for looking.
