He became a POW, escaped and returned to safety. He was a B-17 flight engineer assigned to the 97th Bomb Group stationed at Foggia, North Africa. He was interned in a German POW Camp in Northern Germany. Here is his account of his missions, his imprisonment and escape. An EXTRAORDINARY read!
